Our experiences have taken us into small to large organizations, teams from 5 to 250, and diverse clientele including financial services, healthcare, educational services, outdoor equipment, professional firms, and automotive industries as examples.

We are happy people fulfilling our life’s purpose to support positive change.

Our two key resources (additional highly regarded resources engaged as needed):

Mark brings a unique perspective to leadership by inventing maps and models for leaders so that they may communicate and coordinate with greater ease. He is expert at sustainable change, the leadership communication, organizational governance, succession planning, and emotional intelligence. He is adept at leadership development, policy governance, succession planning, and executive recruitment (in the financial services industry).

His business career prior to his expertise in coaching has included financial analysis, technology management, project management (small projects to multi-million dollars), and as CEO of a hospitality company.

Mark’s credentials include:

  • BS in Business, Cum Laude, Arizona State University.
  • Certifications in highly regarded, master’s level coaching programs:
    • The Hudson Institute (2001), that delves deep into the intellectual side of leadership and change;
    • The Strozzi Institute (2005), that integrates the somatic — that is, the effective grounding and presence — side of leadership.
  • Multiple assessment tools.
  • EMT Licensure for 9 years, State of Colorado (retired).

Faculty at Fort Lewis College’s “Project Run” initiative (2024-), bringing leadership skills to small and medium sized businesses.

Mark’s extensive community work includes: President of the Bayfield School District Accountability Committee, Red Cross, Huntington’s Disease Society of America, Tempe Leadership, Boy Scouts, Children’s Hospital of Orange County, and as a licensed EMT for the Medical Reserve Corps.  He also engages in the mundane community activities, such as mentoring students in primary education and collecting trash on hundreds of miles of roadways.

Mark is a rare coach, who had led a company of 300 people, understands the core financial underpinnings of a business (he started his career as a financial analyst), and the practical implementation of how to build a cohesive team.

ADDITIONAL COACHES: Alpine leadership has a relationship with a number of highly qualified executive coaches, and integrate them into engagements fitting the needs of the client with the talents of the coach. Alpine does not follow a cookie-cutter approach, and will listen to your needs and then make decisions as to which coaches would best support the desired outcomes. We will contemplate the experience and educational backgrounds of the coaches with whom we have relationships, along with their personal approach, so that they best support your team during an engagement.
